Frequently Asked Questions
Getting started & understanding your score
Think of your VivaScore as a simple snapshot of your overall wellbeing, summarised in a score from 1 (Low) to 100 (Excellent). It uses information like your digital health scan results, age, and gender, plus any data you choose to share from connected health apps, to give you a dynamic picture of your health right now. It helps you understand where you stand and highlights areas you might want to focus on.
VivaScore ranges:
Poor: 0 – 20
Fair: 21 – 40
Average: 41 – 60
Good: 61 – 80
Excellent: 81 – 100
At the very least, we need your age and gender to provide a baseline VivaScore. But the real magic happens when you add more info! Completing a quick digital health scan or syncing data from your favourite health app or wearable (like Apple Health, Garmin, Fitbit, Oura, etc.) makes your score much more complete and personalised.
Your score primarily uses your age, gender, and key indicators from your quick digital health scan (blood pressure, heart rate, stress levels). If you’ve connected other health apps or wearables and given permission, data like your activity levels (steps, active time, sleep) might also contribute positively to your score.
Want to see the breakdown? Just tap the little info icon (ⓘ) next to your score in the app! You’ll see which factors are influencing your score the most, colour-coded to show if they’re in an optimal range (Green = Excellent, Yellow = Average, Red = Poor, etc.).
Your VivaScore is as dynamic as you are! It updates whenever new information becomes available – like after you complete a digital health scan or when new data syncs from your connected apps. This means it reflects your most current state of wellbeing.
Improving your score is about making healthier choices that feel right for you. Start by looking at your VivaScore breakdown in the app – focusing on areas marked yellow, orange, or red (especially those listed higher up, as they have more impact) can make the biggest difference. Simple things like increasing your daily steps or active time (if tracked) always help too!
Remember, small, consistent changes add up: things like eating well, getting enough sleep, managing stress, staying active, minimising alcohol, and avoiding smoking can all contribute to better wellbeing over time.
Important: VivaScore offers insights, but always chat with a doctor or qualified health professional if you have specific health concerns.
Just below your score in the app, you’ll see an average score for people of your same age and gender. This gives you some context, but remember, everyone’s health journey is unique! Even if risk factors naturally increase with age, your score shows how you’re doing for you. If your score is higher than the average, you’re doing great compared to your peers!
The VivaScore updates dynamically, using all data available at the time. Your score will re-calculate after each digital health scan, and receipt of new data for you.
We store the information you consent to share, including data from your digital health scan and any connected fitness apps or wearables. We keep this data securely to provide you with your score, personalised insights, reports, and the ability to track your progress over time.

No. VivaScore is a wellness tool designed to provide insights and encourage proactive health management – it is not a diagnostic or treatment tool. While developed using health best practices and insights from experts, it should never replace consultations with a doctor or qualified healthcare professional.
